Well since we got back from a lovely dinner out (it’s Andrew’s Nan’s birthday) we have come back to football and formula one qualifiers… for Andrew that means gluing himself to the television, for me it means picking up a needle and stitching. I haven’t got much I can show really as I am still working on the magazine commission that I can’t share until it goes into the magazine in January 2012 but I have been getting on with that in leaps and bounds. I have also done an ATC for the stitch talk group for the month of September – its from one of the free Lizzie Kate designs, called ‘A Hug Will Do’ I didn’t stitch the border to it as it would have been too large on the ATC – I stitched it on 22 count white Aida:
This month I will be doing a Halloween themed ATC for the swap. I love any holidays like this and can’t wait to get stuck into it at the end of next week! I have also got some Lavender coloured fabric die and lots of fabric to try it with – its a hand wash die from Dylon and I cant wait to try that either! I have some fabric paint that is very light purple with glitter in to try on some ATC’s and such and have some paint to do my aida orange for my Halloween ATC too 
It’s amazing what you can find in the kiddies stationary section in discount bookstores – from beads, charms and fabric paints to aida being sold cheep and threads a pack of 20 for £1 (not DMC/Anchor and not guaranteed colour fast). Since I have been trying to build my stash up of fabrics and the like for a while it is certainly helping
I will be trying the fabric dying next week so will take step by step photo’s for you all to show you how it goes. With regards to the fabric paints I have only tried the green so far. I think a ghost in DMC glow in the dark threads could look quite good on that colour, but I certainly want to try the orange too
