Day Two of Oliver’s Teether Toy Trials.

on January 12, 2013

Today has been a busy day and luckily Oliver has been that busy meeting new people that he forgot all about his teeth and gums.  He has been dribbling an awful lot with it so I was really pleased to have some of Nuby’s stylish Bandana Bibs with me.  We do have some other brands of these bibs but none are as thick and soft as the Nuby ones.  Although he dribbled all day his outfit was completely spared and they are much more stylish than normal bibs.  Great for any little dribbler.

Now down to business, before we went out Oliver and I tried the Gum-eez First Teether.  I had spent a while looking to see if I could get these ones in Asda, Boots or Tesco’s as I wanted to go get some to try today but had no luck, it would seem that they are only available online.  What would you know though?  The postman knocked on the door with a parcel from Nuby-UK and there was a pack inside – we were obviously supposed to test them today 🙂

These teethers come in packs of two, you can order either blue and white or pink and white.  They are currently £3.74 a pack but are normally £4.99.  They also come with a small case as well, to keep the teether part of this clean which I think is a really good idea as they are from newborn and of course until 6 months old everything has to remain sterilised as well of clean.

The things I like about these teethers are:

  • They are from birth, most others seem to be from either 4 or 6 months.
  • They are shaped to help develop the front teeth and because they are shaped like a soother it was easier to keep in his mouth whereas the others have to be held for him.
  • You can put teething gel on the teether part of it to help relieve the teething pain.
  • Because they are shaped like a soother they have the handle so you can attach them to a soother clip to keep them safe.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these soothers for young babies who are teething, there aren’t many about that are for less than 4 months old and these ones are perfect, even Oliver thinks so!

We give these soothers 5 stars 🙂

We have also been trying out some of our new Christmas toys today.  We have a Lamaze set of rattles that Oliver can wear on his hands and feet and they help him to learn to co-ordinate them better.  Well, they are lovely and bright, the rattle is a nice level of sound rather than too loud like some, the rattles fasten on with a Velcro strap on the hands which is nice and soft and the feet ones go on a pair of socks.  As you can see, Oliver loved them and we will be playing with them again very soon 🙂
