Doncaster Cadets Swim To Success

on October 28, 2009

On Sunday 4th October four cadets from Doncaster Squadron attended the inter-squadron swimming event held annually at Knottingley Swimming Baths. After spending some time making sure they knew what events they were taking part in and also taking part in the heats the four had managed to get themselves through to eight finals.

Towards the end of the day the four cadets were out of breath but that didn’t stop them pushing themselves as they entered seven of the eight finals and came back with seven top three medals. Two of the cadets were also selected for the Wing team to attend the next level of competition at Oldham baths on Sunday 25th October, only three weeks later.

The squadron came top of the sector points wise at the competition and came seventh in the Wing, a massive achievement with just four cadets.
