Back at the office the solicitor had called with a new piece of evidence that had come to light.

His mobile had been ringing incessantly for the last ten minutes but he was with the victim and couldn’t take the call. After the call being ended so many times he was surprised that they hadn’t taken the hint and stopped calling. He switched it off and apologised again to the lady. She was still worried about making an appearance in court against her attacker, his attempts to reassure her seemed futile. After half an hour with her, his phone forgotten in his pocket he drove back to the office and was hit by a buzz in the air when he walked through the door.

‘What’s going on?’ He asked the closest person to him.

‘Have you not checked your phone? We’ve got an open and shut case, some CCTV has been found and you can see the attack in its entirety. She won’t even need to testify.’
