My Journey

From mind to paper and back again.

on December 13, 2008

though the weather turns at home
Some people stay all alone
On the defence line of the nation
Christmas a forgotten fun
A job though it is to them all
Their families worry about the next person to fall
In a battle so far away
Praying it won’t be their loved ones today
Remembrance is a special act
From friends who long ago made a pact
But one of them remained, in the fields he lay
We’ll meet again some sunny day
When grass turns to dust
And wings are a must
We will remember them
